MySkillsNow® is a web-based, on-line, digital, self-service role and skills tracking service which can realise benefits in terms of centralised MI at a detailed level of resource capability; enabling real time, optimum tracking of resource capability and allocation; hence strategically improving resource allocation. From this data would come improved training, undertaken as part of a revitalised Job Practice/Family model; resulting in enhanced internal capability and improved morale.
The Personal Details tab presents the bulk of the personal details stored on the system. Some of the data can be changed by the staff, some by their line manager, and some by the Head of Role. The split of authorship of data is configurable. Relevant documents can be stored such as a selfie image or avatar, CV's and Pen Pictures, or work related documents such as proof of right to work, etc.
One of the main features of MySkillsNow® is managing and maintaining Job Roles and Skills. These can be generic or unique to the user and as such are fully configurable by the user in terms of proficiency if not content.
The user next accesses the job skills tab to tweak the actual skill level for each competency matched against that advised by the relevant generic skill set for the role and level. Once the user feels that the selected proficiency levels match their capabilities, they then submit it to the line manager for validation or further feedback.
The Managers can see who their direct reports are, what their job roles and levels are, and if they have any skills sets to approve and their general status. Other information can also be presented such as last login date, availability date, birth date, IR35 status, right to work status, location, etc.
The Managers can drill down into the details on all their staff and amend certain fields. They can also open and view any CV’s, images, stored certificates, associated with the staff member.
The Head of Practice, Family or Role can access tabs to enable them to perform their role of nurturing their profession, allocating resources, and developing the internal capability of the organisation by having a view the work force allocation across the organisation at the same time has been able to drill down to up-to-date detail.
Google Maps and Google Charts representations are used to slice and dice the data to provide a holistic aggregated view of the resource base that can then be drilled down into, to reveal the underlying detail.
These analysis tools enable the insight, leading to enterprise level foresight, to truly drive the resources of the organisation in the most optimum way to deliver exceptional outcomes in the Digital Age.
